Review
This book is a fun mockery of Silicon Valley weaving in volleys of witty jabs and social critiques through his time working FB ads or starting a YC company. His writing is blanketed with an almost lethal dose of cynicism and a kind of aloof arrogance. More amusing and mindless like a clever sitcom rather than being particularly informative or illuminating. But also like a sitcom, this book is a honest, judgmental mirror reflecting something real about the SV life I find myself in. I really enjoyed this book for its wit and fresh perspectives, especially since some of the withering criticism might as well have been directed at my friends and I. “If everything seems under control, you’re just not going fast enough. —Mario Andretti, Formula One driver”
