Review
I started this book with high hopes. Entrepreneurial perspectives on rapid prototyping and risk are good perspectives to have on life in general. A startup that is trying to figure out what to build is like a person trying to figure out what they want. This book didn't exactly live up to my dream metaphor, instead it tried on different entrepreneurial "mindsets". Develop competitive advantages, pursue breakout opportunities, leverage your network. With the emphasis on networks its a minor ad for Linkedin, but I get it. The ideas are not new/surprising, but the authors do a good job of taking a refined, abstract idea and making it actionable. The goal of advancing your career at all costs is just kinda assumed though... But, everyone could benefit from strengthening good ideas. The underlying world perspective and thoughtful authors in a short book make this a worthwhile read. Key Takeaway: I should host more parties and invest in my friends (networking)
